FALL 2017 SEASON
365 WOMEN A YEAR PLAY FESTIVAL
Our 1st annual festival of ten minute plays in conjunction with 365 Women A Year, an international playwriting initiative focused on telling the stories of real women throughout history and giving them new life through theatre. This festival featured 5 plays about historical women, such as Matilda Hays, Lavern Baker, Sylvia Plath, Lynda Carter, and Elsie Ott, working towards our goal to help give voice to women whose stories have been lost through time as well as to give a platform to women working in theatre.
365 Women A Year is an international playwriting project involving over 300 playwrights who have signed on to write one or more one-acts about extraordinary women in both past and present history. The project’s ambitious yet focused goal is to write women back into the social consciousness as well as empower and promote female playwrights around the world.
